Who We Are
The Institute for Youth Development collaborates with international organizations, donors, research centers, and educational institutions to implement joint projects and introduce global best practices into national and regional contexts.
Founded in 2011, the Institute for Youth Development has become a key partner for government institutions, local self-governments, and international organizations in unlocking the potential of the younger generation.
Our Strategic Areas of Work
The Youth Development Institute creates an enabling environment for the comprehensive development of young people through the following mechanisms
Advocacy and Youth Representation
We promote youth interests at international, national, and local decision-making levels by contributing to the development and improvement of legislation affecting young people.
Institutional Development
We support the establishment and operation of youth centers, youth councils, and other platforms that provide access to social and educational services across regions.
Research and Analytics
We conduct analytical research and monitor the youth environment, including the calculation of the Youth Wellbeing and Development Index, publication of “Youth in Numbers,” development of the Youth White Paper, and other studies.
Civic Education
We implement long-term educational programs focused on critical thinking, media literacy, leadership, and participation in decision-making processes.

Success Story
DILGIR Youth Leaders Training Courses - Beishebaev Nursultan
Nursultan Beishembaev, a graduate of the “Dilgir” Modular Youth Leadership Program (2018), was appointed Chair of the Youth Wing of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan on August 26, 2019. On February 20, 2020, he became Chair of the Gavrilovka Local Council.
We are proud of the achievements of participants of our projects. By empowering youth, we contribute to the development of the country.
